Ελλάδα, αρχές δεκαετίας του 1960. Ένας νέος μεταναστεύει στη Γερμανία. Αφήνει πίσω τον ηλικιωμένο πατέρα και τη μνηστή του. Μια μέρα το δέμα που θα φέρει ο ταχυδρόμος στον πατέρα θα κρύβει κάτι τραγικό. Κι εκείνος θα συνεχίσει να γράφει γράμματα αρνούμενος να αποδεχτεί την τραγωδία.

 

Greece, beginning of the 60’s. A young man emigrates to Germany, leaving behind his old father and fiancée. A parcel delivered by the postman to his father hides something tragic. He will, however, continue to write letters, unwilling to accept the tragedy.

Η 15άχρονη Ana αντικαθιστά την κάρτα SIM της με εκείνη του παππού της που έχει πρόσφατα αποβιώσει και σκαρώνει φάρσες στην οικογένειά της στέλνοντάς τους μηνύματα από τον αριθμό του. Το φαινομενικά αθώο αστείο θα στραφεί εναντίον της.

 

Fifteen-year-old Ana replaces the SIM card from her phone with that of her late grandfather. She starts pranking her family by sending them messages, using his number. But the seemingly naive joke turns against Ana.

Όπου ιστορίες για τον έρωτα και την απώλεια καθρεφτίζονται στην κατεδάφιση παλιών κτιρίων και την οικοδόμηση νέων, όπου ο θάνατος και η γένεση στέκονται πλάι-πλάι, σαν να ‘ναι η σκοτεινότερη ώρα της νύχτας ή τα πρώτα φώτα της ημέρας, με τους δρόμους να κρύβουν κάθε πιθανότητα που η ζωή μπορεί να αποκαλύψει.

 

A contemporary city symphony where floating memories blend with urban sounds and natural elements, where tales of loss and love are mirrored by the demolition and construction of new buildings, where death and birth stand next to each other, like the darkest hour of the night and the first lights of the day, and the net of the streets holds tight all the possibilities that life might unfold.

Στο Tokoriki, ένα αυτοσχέδιο νυχτερινό κέντρο, ένα ολόκληρο χωριό γιορτάζει τα 18α γενέθλια της Geanina. Το αγόρι της και η Alin θα της κάνουν ένα δώρο – έκπληξη που θα μείνει σε όλους αξέχαστο.

 

In an improvised night club called Tokoriki, the whole village celebrates Geanina’s 18th birthday. Her boyfriend and Alin will give her a most surprising gift, one that nobody will ever forget.

Ο Georges, ένας πολύ θυμωμένος σκουπιδιάρης, χτυπάει την πόρτα ενός ευκατάστατου άνδρα, ο οποίος έχει πετάξει στις σακούλες σκουπιδιών του αιχμηρά αντικείμενα. Ο Georges είναι έτοιμος για καβγά, μα όταν η πόρτα ανοίγει, συνειδητοποιεί ότι ο πλούσιος αυτός άντρας είναι καθηλωμένος σε αναπηρικό.

 

Georges, a very angry garbage man, knocks on the door of a wealthy man who has left sharp objects in his garbage bags. Georges is willing to kick his ass, but when the door opens, he finds out that the rich man is a handicapped in a wheelchair.

Ο Τζoν Γουέξλερ είναι βετεράνος των πολέμων του Ιράκ και του Αφγανιστάν. Επιστρέφοντας στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες δυσκολεύεται να συνηθίσει τη νέα του ζωή σαν απλός πολίτης, καθώς τα ηθικά τραύματα και το μετατραυματικό στρες που υπέστη στον πόλεμο τον βασανίζουν συνεχώς.
