Το Υπουργείο Παιδείας και Πολιτισμού της Δημοκρατίας της Κύπρου δημιουργήθηκε το 1965 με το όνομα "Πολιτιστικές Υπηρεσίες" και αργότερα το 1992 μετονομάστηκε σε "Τμήμα των Πολιτιστικών Υπηρεσιών". Οι Πολιτιστικές Υπηρεσίες είναι ο κύριος εκφραστής της πολιτιστικής πολιτικής του κράτους, Όσον αφορά το σύγχρονο πολιτισμό. Το Τμήμα είναι υπεύθυνο για την ανάπτυξη των Γραμμάτων και των Τεχνών της Κύπρου καθώς και με την ενημέρωση του κοινού σχετικά με πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις και τη συμμετοχή τους σε αυτές. Έχει επίσης ως στόχο την προώθηση των επιτευγμάτων των πολιτιστικών δραστηριοτήτων μας στο εξωτερικό. Tο Τμήμα διαδραματίζει σημαντικό ρόλο στη διαμόρφωση της πολιτιστικής εικόνας του νησιού.

ΘΕΑΤΡΟ ΡΙΑΛΤΟ

Το Θέατρο ΡΙΑΛΤΟ είναι μια πολιτιστική μη-κερδοσκοπική οργάνωση που βρίσκεται στην καρδιά της Λεμεσού. Στοχεύει στην ανάπτυξη της τοπικής κοινότητας μέσα από καλλιτεχνικές και πολιτιστικές δραστηριότητες. Η αποστολή του Θεάτρου είναι να παρουσιάσει πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις που συμβάλλουν δυναμικά και καταλυτικά στην πολιτιστική δημιουργία. Το ΡΙΑΛΤΟ θεωρείται πλέον ως ένα θέατρο με όραμα, ένα μέρος για καλλιτέχνες και κοινό, προσφέροντας ένα ευρύ φάσμα τεχνών από τον τοπικό και διεθνή χώρο των τεχνών. Το Θέατρο, όλα αυτά τα χρόνια έχει γίνει ένα σημείο συνάντησης για τους Κύπριους αλλά και ξένους καλλιτέχνες, οι οποίοι επιθυμούν να παρουσιάσουν τη δουλειά τους στο κοινό.

The Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Cyprus was created in 1965 under the name of Cultural Service. In 1992, after being upgraded to a Department it was renamed Department of Cultural Services. The Cultural Services are the main exponent of the cultural policy of the state as regards contemporary culture. By being responsible for the development of the Letters and the Arts in Cyprus, informing the public about cultural events and their participation in them, and promoting the achievements of our cultural activities abroad, the Department plays a vital role in shaping the cultural image of the country.

RIALTO THEATRE
RIALTO Theatre is a cultural non-profit organization located in the heart of Limassol. RIALTO has always been striving to engage local community and youth with more artistic and cultural activities and stimulus. Its multi-dimensional profile is enriching Cyprus' cultural standing whilst being dedicated to develop local community through artistic and cultural activities based on values. The theatre's mission is to present cultural events that dynamically contribute to cultural creativity and development placing Limassol in the international map of cultural activity. RIALTO is now considered as being a theatre with vision, status and trustworthiness regarding its work. It is now a place for both artists and audience offering a spectrum of performing arts bringing the very best of local and international cultural event. The theatre, over the years has become a meeting point for Cypriot artists and not only, who wish to present their work to the audience.
