The ISFFC is the national correspondent for the next Euro Connection, the marketplace for short film co-production in Europe to take place at Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival. One finalist project from Cyprus will be nominated!

Euro Connection is the marketplace for short film co-production in Europe. The next edition will take place on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 February 2018 in Clermont-Ferrand, with the aim of fostering partnerships between European production companies, financial backers and broadcasters for short film projects.

Producers from the associated countries to the Call for Projects 2018 are invited to send their application by email to the national correspondent in their country no later than October 20, 2017 (see list and contacts for correspondents in entry form below). Application is free of charge.

May apply: 
- short film projects (fiction, animation, creative documentary) under 40 minutes; 
- presented by a production company located in one of the associated countries; 
- for which partial funding has been granted by an external source (see details in form); 
- for which a co-production partner in Europe is wanted; 
- for which shooting/production shall start after May 2018; 
- whose producer commits to attend and pitch his/her project in case of selection.

Only projects from countries associated with Euro Connection may apply: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Romania and Sweden.

A European jury – which includes at least three professionals of different nationalities – will choose 15 projects among the finalists in each country. All finalists will be informed of the list of selected projects by November 28th.

Producers are expected to apply with their short film projects until October 20th to the representatives of their country. The International Short Film Festival of Cyprus is the official representative for the Republic of Cyprus, and the applications must be sent to info@isffc.com.cy
