Cyprus Sideways
16/10, Friday, 18:30, Rialto on Stage

Cyprus is an island endlessly mapped and reimagined, at once in the middle of the world and stranded in the middle of the sea. Across three films, familiar landscapes go out of focus and reappear from unexpected angles: through transient queer encounters, the unseen ecosystems of the night, and skewed geographies. Moving between the personal, the political and the non-human, Cyprus Sideways challenges us to encounter the island we call home as something strange and never entirely known.
