Set against the backdrop of ISIS’ imposition of the “jizya” tax on non-Muslims in its territories, a Christian family devises a plan to protect its only daughter. However, their “perfect” solution might end up having more tragic consequences than intended.
Στο πλαίσιο επιβολής του jizya (ΣτΜ: ισλαμικού κεφαλικού φόρου) από το «Ισλαμικό Κράτος» σε μη Μουσουλμάνους υπηκόους που ζούνε στα εδάφη που έχει καταλάβει, μια χριστιανική οικογένεια επινοεί ένα σχέδιο για να προστατεύσει τη μοναχοκόρη της. Ωστόσο, η «ιδανική» τους λύση πρόκειται να φέρει ακόμη πιο καταστροφικές συνέπειες.

A 10-meter diving tower. People who have never been up there before have to choose whether to jump or climb down. The situation itself highlights a dilemma: to weigh the instinctive fear of taking the step out against the humiliation of having to climb down. Ten Meter Tower is an entertaining study of the human in a vulnerable position.
Ένας βατήρας ύψους 10 μέτρων. Άνθρωποι που δεν έχουν ανέβει ποτέ σε τέτοιο ύψος επιλέγουν εάν θα πηδήξουν στην πισίνα ή εάν θα κατέβουν από τον βατήρα. Η κατάσταση τονίζει το δίλημμα των συμμετεχόντων: θα αντιμετωπίσουν τον ενστικτώδη φόβο, κάνοντας το μεγάλο βήμα ή θα δεχτούν τον εξευτελισμό της υποχώρησης; Η ταινία ερευνά με διασκεδαστικό τρόπο τις αντιδράσεις του ανθρώπου όταν βρίσκεται σε ευάλωτη θέση.

Dead Reckoning is a ride around Vienna’s Ringstrasse boulevard and from there into the city, to fall, to eat, and finally to end up on the toilet. Death is always there, always in front of us. The film follows the cycle of life, the rhythm of the city. The filming locations show how Vienna has been influenced by cultures from around the world. An animated skeleton symbolizes the morbid humor of the Viennese and even appears as a grumpy waiter.
Το Dead Reckoning απεικονίζει μια διαδρομή από τη λεωφόρο Ρινγκστράσε της Βιέννης μέχρι το κέντρο της πόλης, κατά την οποία ο περιηγητής σκοντάφτει, πέφτει, τρώει καταλήγοντας εν τέλει στην τουαλέτα. Ο θάνατος είναι πάντοτε εκεί, πάντοτε μπροστά μας. Η ταινία ακολουθεί τον κύκλο της ζωής και τον ρυθμό της πόλης. Οι τοποθεσίες γυρισμάτων αποδεικνύουν πώς η αυστριακή πρωτεύουσα έχει επηρεαστεί από τους διαφορετικούς πολιτισμούς που ζουν εκεί. Ένας σκελετός-κινούμενο σχέδιο συμβολίζει το μακάβριο χιούμορ των Βιεννέζων, καθώς ο ίδιος εμφανίζεται και ως στριφνός σερβιτόρος.

Ο Μοχάμεντ, γνωστός και ως “Κόκκινη Μύτη”, είναι ένας Παλαιστίνιος μετανάστης που δουλεύει σε χοιροστάσιο στην Κύπρο. Δέχεται μια απρόσμενη επίσκεψη από μια γυναίκα από το παρελθόν, η οποία ξαναμπαίνει στη ζωή του ισχυριζόμενη ότι έχει ένα πολύ σημαντικό πακέτο να του παραδώσει εκ μέρους του αδελφού του. Ο ιδιοκτήτης του εργοστασίου, Γιώργος, παρατηρεί την αλλαγή στον Μοχάμεντ και αρχίζει να υποψιάζεται τα χειρότερα.
Muhammad aka “Red Nose”, a Palestinian immigrant working in a meat factory in Cyprus, gets an unexpected visit from a mysterious woman claiming she has an important package from his departed brother. George, the owner of the meat factory he works for, starts suspecting that “Red Nose” is not who he seems to be.
