The International Short Film Festival of Cyprus returns to Limassol for its 15th consecutive year, marking a celebratory edition that honours the festival’s journey as the island’s leading cinematic destination dedicated to the art of the short film. From the 11th to the 17th of October, the Rialto Theatre will host filmmakers from Cyprus and around the world, presenting a multifaceted programme that weaves together artistic boldness, fresh narratives, and a broad international scope.
This year’s edition seeks to view cinema “from the other side”, to delve into the intricate relationships between viewer and screen, image and reality, imagination and experience. At its core lies the power of the short film form, revealing profound truths, transcending borders, and connecting diverse worlds within just a few yet impactful minutes.
The festival’s opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, 11th of October, at 8:00 p.m. at the Rialto Theatre. Directed by Dimitris Chimonas, it promises a thought-provoking and audience-engaging experience.
