The ISFFC 2025 comes to a close in a spirit of heartfelt appreciation

A week filled with stories, images, and people comes to an end. 

The 15th International Short Film Festival of Cyprus concludes on Friday, 17 October, with the Closing and Awards Ceremony, held in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Culture, Dr Vasiliki Kassianidou.

The final night’s screenings start at 20:00 at the Rialto Theatre, featuring the last line-up of the competition section. Immediately afterwards, the festival moves outdoors, behind the Rialto Theatre (SEK parking place), where the awards ceremony and closing party will take place: a celebration of cinema, the filmmakers, and everyone who supported this year’s edition.

Audiences have warmly embraced this festival edition, its parallel events, and special screenings. Their participation, feedback, and heartfelt response filled the auditorium — and our hearts — with gratitude.Following the awards ceremony, DJ harama will take over the decks for the traditional after-party, rounding off another unforgettable festival edition with rhythm and smiles.

Just like every year, the Cypriot short films compete for both the International and National Awards, while also contending for a nomination at the European Film Awards in the short film category.
